Poetry, Politics and Punchlines
In this project we learned first about poetry. In poetry we wrote our own SLAM poems and presented them in class to get a taste of what it's like to write poetry and present it in front of others. Next we learned about punchlines, in this we performed some improv that is acting that is made up on the spot. We also did skits that were practiced many times and were performed in front of everyone in the team for their entertainment. Finally we did politics. In this we learned about the Democrats and the Republicans and their views on drones, immigration and gay marriage. We carried on this project by learning more about a topic of our choice. I chose immigration because I haven't had very much exposure to this topic and I wanted to learn more about it.
Politics
For this part I picked immigration for my choice to learn and share about on exhibition night. I picked immigration because I have little exposure to the subject. I think the main problem I had with the politics part of the project is that I knew so little and I had to research for all of my project. During this project I learned more about things that I didn't know and honestly cared little about, learning about Obama's plan on how to fix the growing problem. I also learned about politicians stance on how they either agree or disagree with Obama's master plan.

Poetry/Comedy
Poetry/Comedy were the first that we covered in our project and was possibly the most enjoyable. In the time we had with this subject we worked on different types of comedy and we wrote our own poetry. To read my poem click HERE This project was funny because of the comedy but was also a learning experience for we learned more about others in the poetry portion. In the comedy portion of this project we watched different forms of comedy such as comedy shows or skits. We also created a skit to perform in front of the class on the topic, teenage love.
